UnMeet Privacy Policy

UnMeet ("the Extension", "we", "our") is a Chrome extension that automatically tracks time spent in video conferencing meetings. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle your information.

1. Data We Do NOT Collect

UnMeet does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any of the following:

Personal identity information (name, email, address, ID)
Health information
Financial or payment information
Authentication information (passwords, credentials)
Personal communications (emails, messages, chat content)
Location data (GPS, precise location)
Web browsing history
Keystrokes, mouse movements, or scroll behavior
Website content (text, images, audio, video)

2. Data Stored Locally

All meeting tracking data is stored exclusively on your device using Chrome's built-in storage API. This data includes:

Meeting start and end times
Meeting platform name (e.g. "Google Meet", "Zoom")
Your meeting rating (1–5 stars)
Your configured hourly rate and currency preference

None of this data is uploaded to any server. It never leaves your browser. If you uninstall the extension or clear your browser data, this information is permanently deleted.

3. Permissions We Request

storage	To save meeting history and preferences locally in your browser.
tabs	To detect when you open a meeting tab so tracking can start automatically.
alarms	To periodically verify meeting tabs are still active for accurate time tracking.
Host permissions	To detect meeting sessions on supported platforms (Google Meet, Zoom, Teams, Feishu, Tencent Meeting) by identifying meeting UI elements. No meeting content is accessed.

4. Third-Party Sharing

We do not share, sell, or transfer any user data to third parties. There is no server, no database, and no analytics backend that receives your data.

5. Children's Privacy

UnMeet is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
