# Clipboard Manager & History — Privacy Policy (draft for Chrome Web Store listing) **Last updated:** 2026-09-13 ## Short version Your clipboard stays on your device. Clipboard Manager & History does not upload, sell, share, or analyze your clipboard contents anywhere. ## Data we store (locally only) - Clipboard text, links, and images you copy — in **IndexedDB on your device**. - Pins, snippets, tags, settings, and excluded-site lists — in `chrome.storage.local` / IndexedDB on your device. ## Data we never collect - No clipboard contents leave your device. - No account, no login, no identifiers. - No analytics, no advertising trackers, no crash reporters that include clipboard data. - No browsing history collection. (The active tab's URL/title is read momentarily to attribute a saved item and enforce your excluded-site list; it is stored only as part of items you keep, and never transmitted.) - No external AI processing of clipboard data. Classification and sensitive-data detection run locally with deterministic heuristics. ## Network Clipboard Manager & History makes **zero network requests**. It works fully offline. There is no server, no sync, and no cloud backup in version 1.0. ## Sensitive data Optional local detection flags likely secrets (private keys, API tokens, card numbers, etc.). Flagged content is dropped or held as a redacted preview per your Privacy Center setting — never uploaded. ## Your controls - Change history size / retention, or clear history at any time. - Export (JSON/CSV) and import your data locally — no cloud needed. - Remove the extension to delete all locally stored data (Chrome removes extension storage on uninstall). ## Contact For privacy questions, contact the publisher via the store listing support link. Since there is no account or server, support cannot see your clipboard.
