Gemini Star Eraser is designed to process images locally inside the user's browser. This Privacy Policy explains what data the extension accesses, how that data is used, and what data is not collected.

## What the extension does

The extension removes visible watermarks from image downloads on supported Google image-generation pages, including Gemini and AI Studio.

To do that, the extension:

- injects local scripts into supported pages
- reads image data that is already available in the page or download flow
- processes the image locally in memory
- reissues the cleaned download locally when needed

## Data collection

We do not collect, store, sell, or share personal information.

Specifically, we do not collect:

- name
- email address
- account credentials
- browsing history
- search history
- location data
- health information
- financial information
- image contents
- user prompts

## Data transmission

The extension does not send processed images, prompts, download history, or page contents to any external server controlled by us.

The extension does not use remote APIs for watermark removal.

## Permissions

### `downloads`

This permission is used only to create the cleaned replacement download for supported AI Studio download flows.

## Local processing

Image processing is performed locally using browser APIs such as canvas, image decoding, and in-page script execution. Processed image data is kept in memory only for as long as needed to complete the current operation.

## Third-party services

We do not use:

- analytics services
- advertising SDKs
- telemetry platforms
- remote logging services
- external watermark-removal APIs

## Data retention

We do not maintain a backend service and we do not retain user data. Any temporary image data used during processing exists only in the current browser session memory and is discarded when the operation completes.

## Children's privacy

This extension is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

## Changes to this policy

If this Privacy Policy changes, the updated version will be published at the same privacy-policy URL or page used for the Chrome Web Store listing.
