## Giriş

GitHub eskiden herkes için açık ve özgür bir platformdu, ancak katkıda bulunarak açık kaynak ekosisteminin parçası olan İran'lı kullanıcıları yasaklama kararı aldı. ABD hükümetinin baskısı altında GitHub'ın bu kararı vermesini anlasak da, GitHub'dan daha saygılı bir yaklaşım beklemekteyiz.

1. GitHub bizim özel depolara erişimimizi birden kısıtladı, en azından GitHub'ın bu kısıtlamadan önce bizi uyarmasını beklerdik.

2. GitHub takımı bu durumu bir adım ötete taşıyarak nerede yaşadığımızı gözetmeksizin, diğer ABD şirketleri gibi IP bazlı kısıtlama yapmak yerine **Milliyete göre** bizi kısıtladı.

Neticede, GitHub takımından:

- Özel depolarımızı ve Gist'lerimizi indirebilmeyi ve onları herkese açık yapabilmeyi,
- **GÜNCELLEME:** Artık özel depoları herkese açabiliyoruz, ancak bu seçenek henüz özel Gist'ler için mümkün değil.
- Kısıtlama politikalarını değiştirerek kullanıcıların milliyet bazında engellenmemesini,
- Kamuya açık şekilde verdikleri kararı açıklamaları ve herkesten özür dilemelerini, (daha önce aynı durumda Slack'in de yaptığı gibi: https://slackhq.com/an-apology-and-an-update)
