# Compatibility

Alpha 2 targets DeepSeek Harness `0.1.0-rc.5` source builds and the matching `master` plugin APIs as of 2026-08-15. DeepSeek Harness is in developer preview and may introduce breaking plugin changes.

The package fails with an explicit message when the installed Harness runtime cannot create a task-backed custom pet. Pin both Harness and this plugin while evaluating the Alpha.
