What data does this extension collect?

Chess Move Announcer stores only user preferences (enabled toggle, volume, speech rate) locally on your device using Chrome's built-in storage. No personal data is collected.

What data is sent to external servers?

None. The extension runs entirely locally. It reads the chess board on chess.com to detect moves and uses Chrome's built-in text-to-speech engine to announce them. No data leaves your browser.

Data sharing

This extension does not sell, share, or transfer any user data to third parties.

Permissions

• storage — to save your preferences (on/off, volume, speed) locally.
• tts — to speak chess moves aloud using Chrome's text-to-speech engine.
• content script on chess.com — to read the chess board and move list so moves can be announced.
