- Investigate first; bring a concrete problem, patch, or decision instead of work for maintainers to untangle.
- Consolidate communication. Skip empty acknowledgements, progress chatter, unsolicited pings, and fragmented PRs.
- Respect rejection and silence. Do not chase a response or escalate without authorization.
