Bug Fixes

• Menu Bar Only stays out of the Dock – DockFlow now launches as a menu bar app, so Menu Bar Only mode no longer flashes a Dock icon at launch. Dock app only and With Dock icon still show the Dock icon as before.
• No surprise windows on background launches – Show main window on launch now applies only when you open DockFlow yourself. Launches from ExtraBar or ExtraDock over Talk, dockflow:// links, Shortcuts and App Intents stay windowless.

Security

• Modified copies are stopped at launch – DockFlow now detects copies that were modified by a third party, explains what happened, offers a link to download a genuine copy and quits. Genuine copies and existing licenses are unaffected.

Bug Fixes

• CLI apply crash – DockFlowCLI apply crashed with "Illegal instruction" on every run in 1.82, which broke scripts and automations that switch presets from the command line. The Skip Reapplying Current Preset check now reads the app's preferences correctly when the CLI runs from inside DockFlow.app, so apply works again with --name, --id, --native and --skip-if-active. The list command was not affected.

New Features

• Control ExtraDock through Talk – Presets can now show and hide ExtraDock docks over the Talk SDK instead of the legacy bridge, with both ExtraDock 4 and ExtraDock 5. Open Settings → Talk Integrations, click Connect… on the ExtraDock card, press Start Pairing in ExtraDock, compare the verification code in both apps and approve in ExtraDock. Access is saved per ExtraDock generation and reconnects on later launches without a new pairing. Requires ExtraDock 4.3.18 or ExtraDock 5.0.9 or later.
• Live dock updates – With Talk connected, DockFlow receives ExtraDock's dock list and changes as they happen, so presets always act on the current docks.
• Apps that can use DockFlow – Settings → Talk Integrations lists the apps allowed to control your presets with an Allowed / Needs attention status per app, plus Permissions… and Remove…. In the consent panel, Allow is enabled only after you confirm the code matches, and permissions are described in plain language.
• Diagnostics page – Settings → Diagnostics → Export Logs… saves the last five hours of DockFlow's own log entries to a text file you can send to support. Nothing is uploaded automatically.
• CLI honors Skip Reapplying Current Preset – DockFlowCLI apply now follows the Skip Reapplying Current Preset setting from the app, and --skip-if-active requests the same behavior for a single invocation. A skipped apply exits successfully without rewriting Dock preferences, restarting the Dock or closing applications.

• Bridge and Talk side by side – Settings → Integrations keeps the original ExtraDock bridge pane. While Talk controls ExtraDock, the pane shows a "Controlled through Talk" card; turn the bridge toggle on to switch back. At launch DockFlow uses Talk when a grant exists and the bridge otherwise, and an ExtraDock build without Talk support keeps working through the bridge.
• Presets reach ExtraDock reliably – Right after a preset restarts the macOS Dock, ExtraDock 5 briefly reports its docks as unavailable. DockFlow now retries those docks after 0.4 s and again after 0.9 s so the switch lands; timeouts and disconnects are never replayed.
• Clearer ExtraDock status – The ExtraDock card tells apart an ExtraDock that is running but not yet connected, a build without Talk support, an active bridge and a connected ExtraDock with no docks. When some docks did not apply, it reports a count per status and logs each dock's status and message.
• No surprise launches – Talk never launches ExtraDock on its own; only an explicit Connect does. Forget Connection removes DockFlow's own copy of the access, while ExtraDock keeps its grant until you revoke DockFlow there.

• Startup Preset – Choose a preset to activate automatically whenever DockFlow starts, including at login (General → Startup). If the preset uses ExtraDock, DockFlow waits for ExtraDock to be ready before applying it.
• ExtraBar Integration – ExtraBar's new DockFlow widget can list your presets, show the active one and switch presets. Pair ExtraBar from Settings → Integrations → ExtraBar; access is explicit and can be revoked at any time.

• No More Getting Stuck – The behind-the-scenes work DockFlow does to rebuild your Dock now gives up and cleans itself up if it takes too long, so the app can't sit there waiting.

• The Window Always Comes Back – Clicking DockFlow in the Dock now always brings the main window to the front — even when Settings or an import window is already open, or the window was minimized.
• Reopening After Closing – Closing the main window and opening it again now reliably brings back the same window instead of leaving you with nothing on screen.
• Your Dock Items Stay in Order – Folders, files, and links in a preset now keep the exact order you put them in. Presets whose order got scrambled by an older version are quietly repaired the next time DockFlow starts.
• Reordering Shows Up Right Away – Moving items around in a preset now updates the list instantly instead of taking a moment to catch up.
• Deleting an Item Leaves the Rest Alone – Removing a folder or file from a preset no longer shuffles the items that remain.
• Editing a Preset Is All or Nothing – Preset contents are now saved in a single step. If something goes wrong your preset is left exactly as it was and DockFlow tells you, instead of half-saving the change.
• Your Remembered Dock Stays Safe – If applying a preset doesn't fully go through, DockFlow no longer overwrites the Dock it saved for you beforehand.

• ExtraDock 5 Support – DockFlow now works with the all-new ExtraDock 5. Hide and show your extra docks per preset just like before — DockFlow detects which version of ExtraDock you have and talks to it automatically. ExtraDock 4 remains fully supported.

• Focus Filter Loading in System Settings – Fixed an issue where adding the DockFlow Focus Filter in System Settings could show "Could not load Focus Filter."
• Focus Preset Picker on macOS 26.5 – Worked around a macOS 26.5 issue where the preset picker in the Focus filter sheet showed stuck or duplicate checkmarks and wouldn't keep your selection. Note: Focus filters now reference presets by name, so if you rename a preset you'll need to re-select it in your Focus filter.
• Stale ExtraDock Lists in Presets – Per-preset ExtraDock settings now clean up docks that no longer exist, and newly added docks stay hidden until you switch them on — no more surprise docks appearing after an ExtraDock update.
• ExtraDock Sync for the Active Preset – Re-applying the currently active preset (with "skip if already active" enabled) now still syncs your ExtraDock visibility instead of skipping it.
