Chaik Privacy Policy

Effective: July 8, 2026

Chaik is a creative camera and filter application that allows users 
to capture photos, apply artistic effects, and share creative works 
with a community of creators. This policy explains what data we 
handle, why, and how you can control it.

1. Who We Are
Chaik is operated by Chaikeloer. Questions about privacy can be

2. Data We Collect

a) Account data — email address (or Apple ID token if you use 
Sign in with Apple), chosen username, and optional profile photo. 
We do not store raw Apple credentials.

b) Content you create — photos, posts, and comments you choose 
to publish within the app. Content is stored on-device and only 
shared when you explicitly tap "Publish."

c) Usage signals — which screens you visit, features you tap, and 
approximate session length. We collect this in aggregate to improve 
the app; it is not tied to advertising profiles.

d) Purchase receipts — when you subscribe to Chaik Creator Pass 
or send a virtual Cheer item, Apple forwards a transaction receipt 
for entitlement verification. We do not receive your payment card 
details.

e) Device metadata — iOS version, device model, crash logs. Used 
solely for stability improvements.

3. Camera and Facial Data
Chaik uses your device camera to apply real-time artistic filters 
and capture photos. All image processing is performed entirely on 
your device using Apple's Core Image and Metal frameworks. Chaik 
does not collect, analyze, store, or share any facial recognition 
data, biometric data, or images. Photos are only saved to your 
device's photo library when you explicitly choose to do so.

The app does not perform facial recognition, face mapping, or any 
form of biometric identification. No face data ever leaves your 
device.

4. How We Use Your Data
We use the data above to: run and improve the Chaik platform; 
verify your subscription entitlements; display your public posts 
to other members; respond to support requests; and comply with law.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your photos or 
content to train AI models.

5. AI Assistant
The Chaik AI assistant operates entirely on-device using 
pre-written, locally stored responses. No user input or 
conversation data is transmitted to any server or third-party 
AI service. The assistant does not use OpenAI, Google, or any 
external machine learning service.

6. Third-Party Services
We use Apple StoreKit 2 for in-app purchases and AppsFlyer for 
install attribution. AppsFlyer receives an anonymised device 
identifier and install event; it does not receive your photos or 
personal content. You may opt out of AppsFlyer tracking via 
iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

7. Content You Share
Posts and comments you publish publicly are visible to all Chaik 
members. You retain ownership of your content. By making content 
public you grant Chaik a limited, non-exclusive licence to display 
it within the platform. You can delete your public content at any 
time from your profile.

8. Data Retention
We keep your account data while your account is active. If you 
delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, 
except where retention is required by law. On-device data is 
deleted when you uninstall the app.

9. Children
Chaik is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly 
collect data from children. If you believe a child has created 
an account, please contact us and we will remove it promptly.

10. Your Rights
Depending on your location you may have the right to access, 
correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise these 
rights, email us at ricardoalvarezlda@gmail.com. We will respond 
within 30 days.

11. Subscription Terms
Chaik Creator Pass is an auto-renewing subscription. Payment is 
charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. The 
subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 
24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage 
or cancel your subscription in iOS Settings → Apple ID → 
Subscriptions.

12. Security
We use TLS for data in transit and AES-256 encryption for data 
at rest. Please use a strong, unique password and enable 
two-factor authentication where available.

13. Updates
We may update this policy when our practices change. We will 
post the revised policy with an updated effective date. 
Continued use of Chaik after an update constitutes acceptance.
