### Texture
**Texture** is the overall quality of a work. Often referring to the number of voices and how they interact.

* **Monophony:** One melody line
* **Polyphony:** Melody in more than one line; with or without accompanying chords
* **Homophony:** A melody accompanied by chords
* **Heterophony:** Two or more versions of the same melody
