Dentry of gang\ndirectory was no longer pinned, and rmdir on close was gone.\nOne problem was that failure of open kept calling simple_rmdir()\nas cleanup, which meant an unbalanced dput(). The refcount underflow plus `dput()` on freed memory gives an arbitrary-decrement primitive and a path to `dentry->d_op->d_delete()` and `iput()`/`dput()` on forged pointers, i.e. control-flow hijack and privilege escalation.\nA:H -
