# Nostos Contributor License Agreement Thank you for contributing to Nostos. This agreement makes clear what rights you give Christian Gennari ("the Maintainer") when you submit a contribution. You keep the copyright to your work. You only grant a license to use it. You accept this agreement by commenting on a pull request with the sentence the CLA bot asks for. It covers that pull request and every later contribution you submit to Nostos. ## 1. Definitions - **"You"** means the person submitting a Contribution, or the legal entity they act for. - **"Contribution"** means any code, documentation, artwork or other material that You submit to the Nostos project, for example in a pull request, patch or issue. ## 2. Copyright license You grant the Maintainer, and anyone who receives software distributed by the Maintainer, a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, irrevocable license to reproduce, prepare derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, sublicense and distribute Your Contributions and derivative works of them. The Maintainer may license Your Contributions under any terms, including the GNU Affero General Public License, other open source licenses, and proprietary licenses, for example in the hosted Nostos Cloud service. ## 3. Patent license You grant the Maintainer, and anyone who receives software distributed by the Maintainer, a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, irrevocable patent license to make, have made, use, sell, offer to sell, import and otherwise transfer Your Contributions. This applies only to patent claims You can license that are necessarily infringed by Your Contribution alone or by its combination with Nostos. ## 4. What you confirm - Each Contribution is Your original work, or You have the right to submit it under this agreement. - If Your employer or anyone else has rights to Your work, You have their permission to make the Contribution, or they have waived those rights. - You will describe any third-party material or license terms in a Contribution that You know about. ## 5. No other obligations The Maintainer does not have to use Your Contribution. Contributions are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, unless You agree otherwise in writing. ## 6. Moral rights To the extent the law allows, You waive or agree not to assert moral rights in Your Contributions that would stop the uses this agreement permits.
