Sensical Summer Stargaze

There are billions and billions of stars in the sky. While technically huge balls of hot glowing gases like hydrogen and helium, stars look truly MAGICAL from Earth.

Make Your Own Constellation

What you’ll need:

  • Constellation map (download and print from the internet)
  • Piece of paper and marker/pencil/pen
  • Toothpicks
  • Marshmallows (ideally mini, but any size will do), sugar cubes, or styrofoam balls

How to do it:

  1. Invite your child to select a favorite constellation. Then replicate on a piece of paper by drawing a dot for each star and connecting with lines that are the length of a toothpick
  2. Place marshmallows/sugar cubes/balls on the dots
  3. Connect with toothpicks
