# Privacy Policy - Know Your Flags Lite **App:** Know Your Flags Lite for Android and iOS (`com.axiomaragames.flagsfree` on both) **Last updated:** 4 October 2026 Know Your Flags Lite is the free, ad-supported version of Know Your Flags. This policy describes what it does with your data, on Android phones and tablets and on iPhone and iPad. The paid version, Know Your Flags Pro, contains no advertising and is covered by a separate policy. ## What the app itself collects Nothing. The app has no user accounts, no sign-in, and no analytics. It does not ask for your name, email address, contacts, photos, location, or any other personal information. Your game progress and settings stay on your device and are never uploaded. ## Advertising The app displays banner advertisements supplied by **Google AdMob** (the Google Mobile Ads SDK). This is the only third-party component in the app, and the only way any data leaves your device. To serve and measure ads, Google may collect and process: - on Android, your device's **advertising ID**, a resettable identifier you control in Android settings - your **IP address** and coarse, IP-derived location - device and app information, such as device model, operating system version, and which app the ad was shown in - interactions with the ads themselves, such as views and taps On iPhone and iPad, the app never asks for App Tracking Transparency permission, so iOS does not share your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) with the app or with Google. Ads on iOS may also use Apple's SKAdNetwork, which lets advertisers count app installs that came from an ad without identifying you or your device. Google uses this to select ads, limit how often the same ad is repeated, measure ad performance, and detect fraud. Google acts as an independent controller of this data. How Google handles it is described here: - Google Privacy Policy - https://policies.google.com/privacy - How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services - https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites - Google's advertising partners - https://support.google.com/admob/answer/9012903 We never receive your advertising ID or any other identifier from Google. We see only aggregate, anonymous reporting: how many ads were shown and what they earned. ## Consent If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the app shows a consent dialog before any ad is requested, using Google's User Messaging Platform. Nothing is requested from Google's ad servers until you have made a choice. This works the same way on Android and iOS. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time with the **Privacy settings** button in the app's Settings screen. If you do not consent to personalised advertising, ads are still shown, but they are not tailored to you. ## Permissions On Android, the app uses these permissions: | Permission | Why | |---|---| | `INTERNET` | Requesting ads. The quiz itself works offline. | | `ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE` | Detecting whether you are online, so the app can hide the ad slot instead of showing an empty gap. | | `AD_ID`, `ACCESS_ADSERVICES_*` | Required by the Google Mobile Ads SDK to use the advertising ID and Android's Privacy Sandbox advertising APIs. | On iPhone and iPad, the app asks for no permissions at all. It does not show the App Tracking Transparency prompt, and it does not use your location, camera, microphone, contacts, or photos. ## Children This app is not directed at children and is not intended for users under the age of 13. It is a general-audience app that displays advertising. If you believe a child has used the app and you have concerns, please contact us at the address below. ## Data retention and deletion We hold no data about you, so there is nothing for us to retain or delete. - **Android:** to reset the identifier Google uses for advertising, use **Settings > Google > Ads** on your device, where you can delete or reset your advertising ID and opt out of personalised advertising. - **iPhone and iPad:** the app never asks to track you, so your advertising identifier is not shared. You can also stop all apps from asking, under **Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking**. ## Changes to this policy If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address and the "Last updated" date above will change. ## Contact Questions about this policy: axiomaragames@gmail.com ## Licensing This app uses the Qt framework under the LGPLv3 licence.
