# update a PostgreSQL Instance

If you want to update or modify the resource configuration of PostgreSQL, you can follow the instructions on this page.

1. In the instance list, click the __⋮__ button on the right, and select __Update Instance__ from the pop-up menu.

2. Basic information: Only the description can be modified. Then click __Next__ .

3. After modifying the specification settings, click __Next__ .

4. After modifying the service settings, click __OK__ .

5. The instance configuration is updated successfully, and you can see the update result prompt in the upper right corner.
