# ReadingBar Privacy Policy

ReadingBar does not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data. It does not have access—and will never request access—to any personal data stored on your machine.

In order to perform its core function, ReadingBar monitors the position of your mouse cursor and follows it with a visible bar. ReadingBar has no way of knowing what else is on your screen.

The screen tint function measures the size, position, and names of your screens in order to place a coloured overlay above them and give you a reference to identify which screens you wish to tint. 

These data are gathered at the moment they are needed, then immediately relinquished. ReadingBar does not save this information and has no way of knowing anything else about your screens or their contents.

ReadingBar's preferences file is stored locally on your machine and you may delete it at any time.
