The files stay plain Markdown, so Obsidian, Syncthing or any editor can work on the same folder at the same time. Daily notes with a calendar, tasks with due dates and repeats, templates, table and board views, canvases in the open JSON Canvas format, full text search with operators, versions and a trash. Spaces with read, write and manage rights, accounts by invitation or OpenID Connect (one-button setup for authentik), an optional second factor, comments, public pages, MCP for AI helpers, an API, backups and a log. English and German, light and dark, installable on the phone. Open the WebUI and create the first account; it becomes the operator. It needs the setup code from the container log (click the nexlore icon, then Logs), a new one at every start until nexlore is set up. To choose the code yourself, set Setup Code below. Put nexlore behind a reverse proxy with TLS before you use it from anywhere but your own network. Then set Public URL and Trusted Proxies. All data lives under /data: the SQLite database, versions, the trash, secret.key, backups and logs, and the notes themselves in /data/vault. Keep it on a local disk, never on an SMB or NFS share, because SQLite locking is not reliable over network filesystems. To keep the notes in a folder of their own (one a sync tool or another editor also works on), add a path mapping for it, for example to /vault, and set Notes Folder to that container path. Set PUID and PGID to the user that should own the files. 99 and 100 are the Unraid defaults and work out of the box. bridge [PORT:8470] 8000 tcp /mnt/user/appdata/nexlore /data rw 99PUID 100PGID TZ NEXLORE_SETUP_TOKEN NEXLORE_PUBLIC_URL NEXLORE_TRUSTED_PROXIES NEXLORE_VAULT_DIR falseNEXLORE_WATCH_POLLING NEXLORE_PORT NEXLORE_SECRET_KEY autoNEXLORE_COOKIE_SECURE 8470 /mnt/user/appdata/nexlore 99 100 false auto
