Durham Hall Jany 6th 1815

Dear Son

Not a word from Stephen and Bruley (?) as Yet. the Mail will arrive from Herculanm this evening and I hope for information

I have been all this week geting in my hogs and After much time spent I shall be disappointed in the quantity expected, shall not have over 4 thousand. If you can lett me have 3 or 4 thousand I shall be willing to give a full price I have sent to Herculaneum and have a hope I may obtain a few thousand, but have my Doubts, I can not put my furnace on Blast untill my Pork is Killed, Captain M thinks Stephen Has made the Purchase—If so I shall want Pork—
