not hold fully 40 Gall. I think something must be wrong in the
manner of gaugi[n]g the Whiskey at the Still house—
I Pray you to make a visit to Herculanm as soon as you can I have
had your Note renew.d—at the Bank—to Boring for 500 Dollars
I start this moment to the Mines for your Mother shall return on
Monday next I wish you to give some kind of an answer about
the Beef and in my opinion you had better collect all you can and
send them forward to St Louis you Know the 15 of Octobr is near
