Dear Sir

This will be handed you by Mr Noble of this place, his object in visiting Texas is to settle provided the country pleases him, and he can make a satisfactory arrangement with you Mr Noble was raised by my father and his wife by my mother, they have a large family of children. He is an industrious, persevering enterprising man and a man of business If he should settle with you he will make a usefull and valuable citizen I feel much interested in his and his familys future welfare and prosperity

Any attention it may be in your power to pay him, will be by me acknowledged as a favour

When Mr Noble returns, write me a full description of your country, and be assured your letter shall not long remain unanswered
