Lexington June 6th 1822
Dear Sir
This will be handed you by Mr Noble of this place, his object in
visiting Texas is to settle provided the country pleases him, and he
can make a satisfactory arrangement with you Mr Noble was raised
by my father and his wife by my mother, they have a large family
of children. He is an industrious, persevering enterprising man and
a man of business If he should settle with you he will make a
usefull and valuable citizen I feel much interested in his and his familys
future welfare and prosperity
Any attention it may be in your power to pay him, will be by me
acknowledged as a favour
When Mr Noble returns, write me a full description of your
country, and be assured your letter shall not long remain unanswered
