We or eather of us promise to pay to the Judge of Austins Colony
the sum of Five Hundred Dollars, for the payment of which we
bind ourselves our heirs and assigns.—The condition of the above
obligation is such that whereas John Austin one of the parties to
this bond has been appointed Constable of the District of San Felipe
de Austin in said Colony.—
N[ow therefore] should the said John Austin, well and truly
[perform and] discharge the Duties of said office of Con[stable]
over all Monies collected by him in his 0[fficial] capacity
according to law then this Bond to be [null and void otherwise to be in
full force.

V. Alley one of the partners of this Bond has been appointed
Constable of the District of Colorado in said Colony— Now therefore
should the said Thomas V. Alley well and truly execute and
discharge the duties of said office of Constable and pay over all monies
Collected by him in his official Capacity according to law then this
Bond to be Null and Void otherwise to be in full force
