Colorado May 31, 1825
Dr Sir
I have made inquiry concerning the land You proposed to let me
have near Mr. Williams's, and have been informed by several
persons well acquainted with it:
They inform me that the land is of a very indifferent Quality,
and almost entirely destitute of timber,—Therefore if it is not
inconvenient to you I could wish to make another selection—I had rather
have a place somewhere between the road, from Jackson's to town
and the upper surveys which have been made on the Bernard, I
could wish to have it laid off in an oblong to include both sides of
the creek
If you can suit me in this manner, will you please be so good as to
let me know by Mr. Jimason
John Ingram.
