I wrote a few days since to survey a quarter on the west side of
Trespalacios for John H. Scott, and one for John T. Brush. Since
then C. Johnson has applied for a quarter next below Scott on the
same side of the creek— he says that he wishes it run so as to have
some front on the main Creek and then to run back of Scott across
the Juanito
I cannot say whether it can be run in that way or not, for I do not
know the situation— you can therefore use your own discretion,
always taking care not to give too much front, nor to injure the
adjoining tracts, nor to have irregular vacancies—
