# Quick Bookmark Privacy Policy _Last updated: 2026-04-19_ Quick Bookmark is a Chrome extension that helps users bookmark pages, search existing bookmarks, and optionally manage YouTube playlist actions for the current video. ## What data the extension accesses Quick Bookmark may access: - The current tab's URL and title so you can save or open bookmarks. - Your bookmark tree so the extension can search bookmarks and choose folders. - Tab and tab-group state needed to open bookmark results in the way you request. - Optional YouTube account authorization, only when you choose to use YouTube playlist features. - Optional YouTube playlist metadata and video membership information needed to show playlist status and add or remove the current video. ## How data is used Quick Bookmark uses this data only to provide the extension's features: - create and organize bookmarks, - search and open bookmarks, - remember local UI state and recent choices, - and, if you connect YouTube, show and modify your playlists for the active video. ## Where data is stored The extension stores operational data locally in Chrome storage, such as: - quick mode and popup state, - cached YouTube playlist data, - and last-used playlist preferences. Google OAuth tokens used for YouTube access are handled through Chrome's identity APIs and Google services. ## Data sharing Quick Bookmark does **not** sell your data. Quick Bookmark does **not** send your bookmark or browsing data to any developer-owned server. If you use the YouTube feature, the extension sends the minimum data required to Google's YouTube APIs to complete the action you requested. ## User control You can stop using the YouTube feature at any time by revoking the extension's Google account access in your Google account permissions. You can also remove the extension to stop all access and clear extension-managed local data through Chrome. ## Contact Project home: https://github.com/DovieW/quick-bookmark Support: https://github.com/DovieW/quick-bookmark/issues
