# ECZ-ID MCP Verifier — Proprietary Limited-Use License

ECZ-ID, ECZ-ID MCP Verifier, the ECZ-ID Resolver, and the related names,
marks, schemas, output formats, reason codes, result states, and workflows
are proprietary to EcoCitizenZ.

This is a proprietary license. It is **not** an open-source or "free
software" license. No open-source rights are granted. Your rights are
limited to exactly what Section 1 states.

## 1. Limited grant

Subject to your full and continuing compliance with this license,
EcoCitizenZ grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable,
non-sublicensable, revocable license, at no charge, to:

(a) install the official, unmodified ECZ-ID MCP Verifier as distributed by
    EcoCitizenZ; and

(b) operate it — at no charge, for personal, organisational, development,
    CI/CD, and internal business purposes — to check the public posture of the
    ECZ-ID Resolver and to read public, machine-readable ECZ-ID Resolver output.

"Installation" includes only the technical copying strictly required to
download, cache, and run the official package on systems you control.

## 2. Prohibited uses

Except for the limited grant in Section 1, you may **not**, in whole or in
part, directly or indirectly:

- copy the software beyond the technical copying required to install and run
  the official package;
- modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works of the software;
- redistribute, publish, host, mirror, or otherwise make the software
  available to any third party;
- sublicense, sell, rent, lease, lend, or otherwise commercialize the
  software or access to it;
- wrap, embed, bundle, white-label, rebrand, or re-package the software, or
  offer it as part of another product or service;
- create, or assist any party in creating, a product or service that
  competes with the software or with any EcoCitizenZ product;
- clone, re-implement, or reproduce — whether or not using the software's
  source — the resolver, proof, trust, Know-Your-Agent (KYA), or MCP
  assurance functionality of the software or of any EcoCitizenZ system;
- remove, obscure, alter, or replace any ECZ-ID branding, names, marks,
  notices, default routes, or endpoints;
- use the ECZ-ID schemas, output formats, report structures, reason codes,
  result states, or workflows — in whole or in part — to design, train,
  build, or operate a same or similar product or service; or
- reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software, except to the
  limited extent this restriction is prohibited by applicable law.

## 3. No patent license

No patent rights are granted under this license, whether expressly, by
implication, by estoppel, or otherwise. All patent rights are expressly
reserved by EcoCitizenZ. Nothing in this license grants you any right under
any patent, patent application, or other intellectual-property right of
EcoCitizenZ.

## 4. No trademark license

No right to use any EcoCitizenZ name, logo, or mark is granted, except as
strictly required to run the official, unmodified package without alteration
of its branding or routes.

## 5. Reservation of rights

All rights not expressly granted in Section 1 are reserved by EcoCitizenZ.
The software is licensed, not sold.

## 6. No warranty

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR
IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY,
FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NONINFRINGEMENT. The software performs
local checks and reporting only. It does not certify safety, approve any
target, or write truth. Local policy decides. Re-check before reliance.

## 7. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL ECOCITIZENZ BE
LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES, OR OTHER LIABILITY ARISING FROM OR IN
CONNECTION WITH THE SOFTWARE OR ITS USE.

## 8. Termination

This license terminates automatically if you breach any term. On
termination you must stop using and remove all copies of the software,
except cached copies deleted in the ordinary course of operation.

## 9. Free-forever distribution posture

The official, unmodified ECZ-ID MCP Verifier and its bundled GitHub Action are
offered free of charge — now and in the future ("free forever") — under this
Proprietary Limited-Use License, for the purposes described in Section 1.

"Free forever" refers to price only. It grants no open-source rights, no
redistribution rights, and no right beyond Section 1. EcoCitizenZ may publish
the official package and Action through public distribution channels, including
the npm registry and the GitHub Action Marketplace.

Public visibility of the source — for transparency or installation — does not
place the software in the public domain, does not make it open source, and does
not grant any right beyond Section 1. All prohibitions in Sections 2–5 continue
to apply.
