This Chrome extension, *Daily Knowledge Booster*, is designed to help users learn 3 interesting knowledge points each day based on their browsing interests. We take your privacy seriously and strive to collect as little personal data as possible.

## 2. Data Collection

We collect and process the following **only on your device**:

- Your recent browsing history titles (via the `history` permission)
- Your saved favorites or ignored knowledge topics (via `storage`)
- Whether the popup has already been shown today (via `storage`)

We do **not** collect:

- Any personally identifiable information (PII)
- Full URLs, page content, or form data
- Your IP address or device metadata

## 3. Data Usage

Your browsing history titles are **only used locally** to personalize the recommended knowledge. When generating recommendations, the extension sends a text-only prompt to a **private AI backend (hosted on Google Cloud Run)**, such as:

No sensitive user data is included in these prompts.

## 4. Data Sharing

We do **not** share, sell, or transmit your data to third parties.  
The backend service used by the extension is privately maintained and exclusively used to generate AI recommendations. It does not log or retain prompts.

## 5. Third-Party Services

The extension integrates with Google Cloud’s Gemini API **only through the developer's own proxy**. Google does not receive any personal identifiers through this integration.

By using this extension, you consent to the local processing of your browsing history to generate knowledge recommendations.
