Privacy Policy

LAVA is a local AI voice assistant. It operates 100% on-device and has
no backend server, no API cost. No user data is transmitted, sold, or shared with any
third party.

Data stored on your device (Chrome local storage):
- Conversation history and saved notes, used only to answer your questions
  and restore your saved Q&A on the same device.
- Preferences such as language and response length.
- A local usage counter and daily streak.

Microphone access is used solely for voice input you initiate via your
browser's speech recognition. Audio is processed transiently for the active
utterance and is not recorded, stored, or transmitted.

The optional Offline Voice Pack downloads an open-source text-to-speech model
once from huggingface.co for on-device speech. It sends no user data.

Data retention: conversation history, saved notes, and preferences are stored
on your device until you delete individual items. Notes can be cleared with
the app's "Clear All" control.

LAVA has no accounts, does not collect names, emails, or other personally
identifiable information, and does not use cookies, analytics, or tracking.
