# Kubernetes Setup with kubeadm This guide will walk you through setting up a Kubernetes environment on Ubuntu using containerd as the container runtime. --- ## 1. System Update and Upgrade ```bash sudo apt update -y && sudo apt upgrade -y ``` --- ## 2. Disable Swap (Kubernetes Requires Swap to Be Disabled) ```bash sudo swapoff -a sudo sed -i '/swap.img/s/^/#/' /etc/fstab ``` --- ## 3. Configure Kernel Modules for containerd Create the module configuration file: ```bash sudo tee /etc/modules-load.d/containerd.conf < /dev/null sudo sed -i 's/SystemdCgroup = false/SystemdCgroup = true/g' /etc/containerd/config.toml ``` Restart and enable containerd: ```bash sudo systemctl restart containerd sudo systemctl enable containerd ``` --- ## 7.
