Filtering

Matching is case-insensitive and exact by complete hostname label. A rule for a matches a.example.com, but not data.example.com.

Labels belonging to a public suffix, such as co.uk, are excluded automatically.

Enter one label per line. Protected labels are never used to hide results, even when they exist in the imported index. Recommended defaults include www, www1, www2, www3, and m.

Import

Each source is downloaded and imported separately. If the operation is interrupted, completed sources remain stored and the current source can be restarted.

Rejected lines

Invalid or unsupported source lines are not added to the exact-label index. Up to 20 examples are retained for diagnosis.

No rejected lines have been reported.

    Database maintenance

The active generation is used for filtering. One previous completed generation may be retained as a fallback. Abandoned and older generations can be cleaned explicitly.

    Source format

The compact format is one hostname label per line:

    a
    google
    wikipedia
    0-173
    123_reg

Existing rules such as *://*.0-173/* are also accepted and normalized to 0-173. The full import uses 1.txt through 9.txt, a.txt through g.txt, and cdn.
