# Operating safely Metadata providers establish canonical volumes/issues. Indexers and GetComics provide release evidence. Review ambiguous identity rather than assuming a title or source post is an exact match. Provider Switching requires correspondence review and preserves local identities; it is not an ordinary provider dropdown. Missing means eligible unowned content; Upgrade concerns direct-owned content below an explicitly configured quality cutoff. Release source/resolution labels are provisional. Imported file observations are separate, and better claimed quality cannot bypass verified replacement checks. Containers, bytes, DPI and codec names are not intrinsic visual-quality scores. Collections group publications. Reading Orders specify exact issue occurrences and sequence, including repeats. Calendar preserves exact/month/year/TBA evidence. C2 represented content remains distinct from direct file ownership. Discover retains a bounded recent GetComics window. Browsing is local; explicit detail/refresh may use the source. Automatic polling is opt-in and never grabs. Source outages retain cached observations; gap warnings mean coverage may be incomplete. External publications use normal provider-backed Add to Library. Torrent import preserves the source via hardlink where safe, otherwise verified copy. Imported and Seeding are separate states. Keep/client-managed retention is non-destructive; automatic cleanup policies also check import completion, review/recovery, exact torrent identity and supplied tracker minimums. Missing tracker evidence does not establish that a tracker has no rules. Archive Maintenance scans are observational. Review each proposed replacement; healthy CBZ repack is explicit, never automatic. JPEG/PNG/WebP payloads, admitted metadata and source member order are retained and hashed. Encrypted/multipart, unsafe, unreadable or unsupported archives require review. Complete embedded issue archives use normal intake; this is not arbitrary page splitting. Shared seeded bytes are never rewritten in place. Recovery is not indefinite Undo. Use a disposable library to learn bulk operations. Read blockers and durable Maintenance/Intake history after uncertain outcomes rather than resubmitting blindly. Preview confirmations expire and changed files require fresh review.
