    * We collect information you voluntarily provide to us, such as:
        * Health data you choose to share with the App through Health Connect. This may include information like nutritional and hydration data. 
    * We only collect health data that you explicitly grant the App permission to access through Health Connect. 
* **Information Automatically Collected:** 
    * When you use the App, we may automatically collect certain information about your device and usage, such as:
        * Your device's operating system and version
        * Information about your usage of the App (e.g., features used, time spent in the App)
    * This information is never shared

**2. How We Use Your Information**

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

* **To provide and improve the App:** We use the collected information to:
    * Provide and maintain the functionality of the App.
    * Improve the App's performance and user experience.
    * Develop new features and functionalities.

**3. Data Sharing**

* **Health Connect:** We share your health data with Health Connect only with your explicit consent and after you have granted the necessary permissions within the Health Connect framework. 
* **No Third-Party Sharing:** We do **not** share your health data with any third parties outside of Health Connect without your explicit consent.

**3.1 Health Connect**

What is Health Connect?

Health Connect is a framework provided by Google that allows health and fitness apps to access and share health data from various sources, such as wearable devices, other health apps, and the device's built-in sensors.

Data Sharing with Health Connect:

We use Health Connect to access the health data you choose to share with the App. You have full control over which data you allow the App to access through Health Connect.

Data Usage:

The data accessed through Health Connect is used within the App to provide the features and functionalities you have selected.

**3.2 Delete Data**
Here is the process for deleting data in **Photo Meals**:

All data is stored directly in Health Connect, so we recommend [using that process](https://support.google.com/android/answer/12201232?hl=en) to remove data.

## Delete all Health Connect data
- On your device, open the Health Connect app .
- Select Data and access.
- At the bottom, tap Delete all data.
- Select a time period.
- To permanently delete the data, tap Next and then Delete.

**3.3 AI Uploads**

Photos are uploaded to a server-side Large Language Model (Google's Gemini). Please look at [Gemini's Privacy Policy](https://support.google.com/gemini/answer/13594961?hl=en#what_data) for more. We'll embed a key passage below:

> Google collects your Gemini Apps conversations, related product usage information, info about your location, and your feedback. Google uses this data, consistent with our Privacy Policy, to provide, improve, and develop Google products and services and machine-learning technologies, including Google’s enterprise products such as Google Cloud.

> Gemini Apps Activity is on by default if you are 18 or older. Users under 18 can choose to turn it on.

> If your Gemini Apps Activity setting is on, Google stores your Gemini Apps activity with your Google Account for up to 18 months. You can change this to 3 or 36 months in your Gemini Apps Activity setting. Info about your location, including the general area from your device, IP address, or Home or Work addresses in your Google Account, is also stored with your Gemini Apps activity. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy on this page and, if appropriate, by sending you a notification within the App.
