COMING TOGETHER AS ONE
In August the extended Defected family gathered from around the world – 3,000 like minded House heads from the UK, Australia, L.A., South Africa and all corners of Europe to experience six glorious days of house music heaven. Soundtracked by the likes of Eats Everything, Sam Divine, MK, Kenny Dope, Franky Rizardo, Derrick Carter, Roger Sanchez, Sonny Fodera and over 80 world-class DJs, Defected Croatia 2017 was the ultimate dance festival experience.
The party was nonstop. House icons such as Claptone, Basement Jaxx, The Shapeshifters, Dennis Ferrer and so many more rocked the main stage and boat parties, with crowds of ravers hanging off every beat, while underground acts like Nightmares On Wax, Melé, Josh Butler, Dario D’Attis, Folamour and DJ Haus created unforgettable moments at the Beach Stage and Olive Grove.
As ever, Barbarella’s proved a truly sublime setting for the nightly after-parties, going through the night under the stars into sunrise.
Defected Croatia 2017 was a family affair; house heads of all generations and their favourite DJs coming together as one. It is a unity that continues long after people return home and eagerly plan their return this following August...

MINDFULNESS
Mindfulness is an alternative Defected Croatia schedule combining meditation, yoga, power ballet, stillness practice and the art of silence. In a break from the usual programme of house music hedonism, Defected Croatia is introducing MINDFULNESS, an alternative festival schedule combining meditation, yoga, Power Ballet, stillness practice and the art of silence. Every day of the festival at 12pm expert practitioners will guide festival-goers through sessions designed to instil peace and restore balance after long days and nights of dancing. Each session will be led by a friend of the Defected family, a couple of which will be very familiar to fans.

RENOWNED DJS
DJ’s that know their craft, paid their dues and know how to rock a crowd. Responsible for so many great releases. The vast majority have released or remixed tracks for Defected, Classic, Glitterbox or DFTD.
3OOO HOUSE HEADS
A gathering of wonderful people. Like minded, enthusiastic clubbers that appreciate a 4 To The Floor beat and a little soul in their House. People that know their music and come together to celebrate the music that they love.

Tisno Croatia. Set on the idyllic Adriatic coast. The perfect destination for lazy summer holidays or… for those that like to get down… 6 days of incredible House music!
MAIN STAGE
The Main stage comes to life after dark and boasts an incredible sound system. It’s where you’ll fine the likes of heavy weights Eats Everything, Basement Jaxx, Roger Sanchez and MK.

From the moment the Argonaut sets sail mayhem ensues. Your favourite DJ’s literally in touching distance. Track after banging track echo across the calm Adriatic. 3 hours that pass in an instant… but special moments that will stay forever.

BARBARELLA'S
Barbarella’s discotheque is legendary and one of the most unique nightclubs in Europe. There are very few venues where you can party in an open air setting and lose yourself as the sun rises. Impromptu back to back sessions are common place as DJ’s take turns to rock an appreciative dance floor.

BEACH STAGE
A glorious beach and banging system overlook crystal clear Croatian waters. Chilled House beats throughout the day pick up pace as the sun sets. By nightfall the party is in full affect. Legendary sets from Derick Carter, Franky Rizardo and Spen & Karizma have graced the Beach stage over the last 2 years.
OLIVE GROVE
The Main Stage’s sidekick is the Olive Grove. Adjacent to the Beach stage It played host to a number of “pop up” specialist sets from DJ’s that like to dig a litter deeper. Highlights from 2017 were Sam Divine & Hatcha playing a classic UK Garage set and an incredible sunset disco session from Nightmares On Wax with Shovell.
SUNRISE SESSIONS
The ‘Sunrise Sessions’ pick up where Barbarella’s leaves off. Located at the Beach Stage and kicking off around dawn, these impromptu sessions created some memorable moments for DJs and festival-goers alike, while the sun came up on a new day at Defected Croatia.
