OPEN COLOUR IDENTITY WORKFLOW
A browser-ready edition of ATLAS Clarus Connect. No installation, server, account or network connection is required.
PICK A PIXEL
8283ab91…747c4Upload an image, choose a single pixel or a predefined square sample area, then click with the loupe. The observed 8-bit sRGB value is bound deterministically to the nearest ATLAS master reference. No Lab or ΔE is used for the primary assignment.
Continue to production: choose Prepare for print to carry the same references into two independent paths: 4C and ECG. Attach output profiles and export the handoff for local prepress.
Browser storage is local, not a backup. Clearing browser data or moving the HTML file may make saved palettes unavailable.
DISCOVER
8283ab91…747c4UNDERSTAND
The wheel locates the selected reference. v0.5 diagnostic fields are descriptive only and do not alter A′ selection or ranking.
Screen output context. It never replaces the master identity.
Approximate sRGB review only; not medical certification.
Descriptive master evidence; no physical sample is measured.
Create and manage several local palettes from the palette button. Exports preserve frozen reference identity and master provenance, not production approval.
CONTINUE TO PRODUCTION
One frozen reference set. Two independent production paths. Prepare 4C and ECG side by side, each with its own output profile and print settings.
PARALLEL PATH
Input: the frozen ATLAS references shown above.
PARALLEL PATH
Input: the same frozen ATLAS references shown above.
CMYKOGV channel order and FOGRA55 applicability must be confirmed from the supplied profile and printing condition.
PKL-FIRST PARALLEL IMAGE COMPARISON
Load a browser-sRGB source. Every pixel is first bound to an exact RGB value from the active PKL master. Both ICC previews then use that same PKL Full Reference.
PNG, JPEG or WebP · local processing · preview up to 1200 px on its longest side.
Load an image to begin.
Load an image to begin.
Controlled chain: browser sRGB source → PKL Full Reference → selected 4C or ECG output profile → sRGB preview. PKL assignment uses RGB squared distance only, with atlas_row_id as the deterministic tie-break; Lab and ΔE do not define identity. Return to sRGB is relative colorimetric, with no paper-white simulation. These are screen previews, not measured print results.
Both paths start from the same ATLAS references. Neither path receives the other path’s device values. Profile changes preserve the source identity.
Keep the handoff as a JSON file; this preparation is held in memory only. Attached ICC files (up to 16 MiB each) are embedded in the JSON. Reference device values, PDF/X output and physical measurement remain separate steps. The readable report is a preparation record, not a colour proof.
EXPLORE
A local visual exploration layer. Material, finish, illumination and angle change the simulation — never the frozen reference identity.
CONNECT
Choose an application to see what ATLAS Clarus can already hand over, what has been verified, and what still needs practical testing. This page explains the connection; it does not run the desktop application inside the browser.
EVIDENCE
13,283 master references. Zero-based atlas_row_id. Deterministic RGB-only reference binding. Workflow v3.4.0.
This edition runs from index.html. It sends no analytics, user actions or colour selections anywhere.
A displayed or simulated colour is not a physical measurement, production approval, print proof or certification.

HELP
An open workflow for finding, understanding, collecting and handing over colour-reference identities without silently redefining their source.
Choose a colour in Hover and select Add to palette. You can create, name, duplicate, sort, import and delete several local palettes. The active palette is shared by Hover and Wheel.
ASE for Adobe/Affinity, GPL for GIMP/Inkscape, Figma-compatible Tokens JSON, CSS custom properties and Clarus JSON with identity evidence.
Clarus JSON retains the full reference metadata. Other application formats carry usable names and exact master RGB, but their host applications may not retain every provenance field.
No. Screen colour depends on display, profile and viewing conditions. It is a reference representation, not a measured print, textile, coating or production approval.
No. It runs locally, sends no analytics or colour selections, and stores the shared palette only in this browser's local storage.
The established selection and ranking logic is not changed by this browser edition. Interaction Wheel v0.5 adds descriptive diagnostics only.
No. Observed source-context views are descriptive and claim no Pantone identity or equivalence. ATLAS references remain independently addressed.

COLOUR · SOURCE · HISTORY
Take your colour decisions with you. Keep the original values, their Atlas addresses and their recorded origin together.
Choose up to 250 colours. The complete source palette stays attached. References are a deliberate new starting point; an unrecorded original remains unknown.
One working set is kept in this browser. Save its full JSON before replacing it with a different set. Source-palette edits do not change an existing working set.
No colour decisions loaded.
The ZIP contains RGB swatches, full provenance JSON and a checksum manifest. Keep these files together. The same JSON opens in Colour Kit 0.3.0.
Colour reference cards: download printable HTML, full decision JSON and checksums. Each decision stays separate, even when Atlas addresses match. Open the HTML and use Print / Save PDF.
The recorded image name, pixel or area location, available image hash, original RGB, Atlas assignment and later decision revisions stay in the JSON. ASE swatch names link to those records. Hashes check consistency; they do not authenticate authorship.
A native Adobe round trip remains untested. The provenance JSON is a companion file and is not automatically embedded in an Adobe document.
Keep each swatch’s AC_ identifier prefix. Return exactly the exported RGB swatches. Changes become linked revisions of the same colour decisions.

YOUR COLOURS · YOUR DECISIONS
Your colours. Your decisions. A project you can take with you and keep developing.
Collect colour sets, record changes and choose the design versions you want to use. Everything runs in this browser. Download the project JSON as your portable backup.
No project open.
Use Colour handoff to prepare recorded originals from your active palette. Its decision IDs and complete source document travel into the project.
Project JSON reopens the complete project. The ZIP adds a readable passport and separate working / chosen swatches with their provenance JSON. Colour Kit opens the palette JSON inside each set.
Keep source images separately. A chosen version records a design decision; it is not measured production approval or proof of authorship.
Checking the project workspace …
Edits keep the original decision and its history. Changing a working colour does not change an already chosen version.
YOUR IMAGE · EVERY RECORDED CHANGE
Recolour a selected colour or area. Make an area transparent. Undo without losing the story.
The original file and frozen starting pixels stay inside your image-project JSON. The handover ZIP adds the original file and current PNG. Work stays in this tab until you download it.
Up to 4,194,304 pixels and an 8 MiB source file. Larger images are rejected without resizing. Palette changes and image edits remain separate.
Your colleague opens the ZIP or image-project JSON in Image Projects. Their browser must reproduce the stored starting pixels exactly. PNG alone does not preserve the full history. A linked palette snapshot can also be opened separately in Colour Projects.
Keep and send the complete, unchanged JSON or ZIP. Colour profiles and transparency can decode differently between browsers, so a valid project may be rejected. Try a browser setup that verifies the file exactly; the browser name alone is not a guarantee.
Do not replace the frozen pixels, remove the colour profile or start again from the current PNG to bypass the check: that would lose the original relationship and editable history. If no compatible setup is available, retain the files and ask the sender to continue in their verified environment.
Physical iPhone and iPad tests are still open.
Open an image to start. This workspace is not automatically saved in browser storage.
Edits use browser-decoded 8-bit sRGB. Recolouring applies a flat RGB value and preserves existing opacity; making pixels transparent keeps their earlier RGB values in the project history.
Checking the reference data …
Click to sample a colour. Drag to select a rectangle. You can also enter exact coordinates below.
No colour sampled.
Exact matching uses the same RGB numbers, with no tolerance. Similar shades are not automatically included.
Undo and redo add history entries. Earlier edits and removed colours remain recoverable. A new edit after undo keeps the abandoned steps in the journal.
Every step identifies the affected pixels, input/output checksums and your note. Hashes check consistency; they do not authenticate authorship.
T-SHIRTS · TEXTILES · LIMITED-COLOUR MOTIFS
Choose a smaller motif palette. Protect important Atlas colours. Compare before you hand over.
Original RGB → full Atlas assignment → selected output palette. Each stage stays separate. Reducing to four motif colours does not automatically produce four print-ready screens.
Save the complete job ZIP to resume later with palette, protections, corrections, cleanup and variants. Older evidence ZIPs cannot restore a job. Opening verifies all files and replays the result before replacing the current job.
Up to 4,194,304 pixels; source image up to 8 MiB. An Image Project is verified and its current image is used, with the complete project retained. No resizing.
No source loaded.
Click a visible pixel in the input preview or enter HEX. Protection keeps the assigned reference from the active library (full master in original mode) in the selected palette; its RGB may differ from your original. Protected colours count towards the limit.
Uses the HEX above. Here, “original” means the frozen, browser-decoded sRGB input, not the channels stored in the image file. Keeps every matching visible pixel in the frozen, browser-decoded input exactly, including alpha. Each original reserves one palette slot separately from protected references. No tolerance, no area mask. Other colours can still become the same output RGB.
Select the first pixel in the input image or refine it with the 11 × 11 loupe. Set the first corner, select the opposite pixel, then protect the rectangle. Both edge pixels are included. Green outlines are preview annotations only.
Select a pixel, then set the first corner.
All frozen, browser-decoded RGB nuances and alpha inside each rectangle stay exact. Their distinct visible RGB values reserve palette slots. If protection exceeds the limit, the preview stops and asks you to increase it or reduce the protected area. Outside colours can still become the same output RGB.
Checking reference data …
Move over the image to magnify original pixels. Click or tap to keep a selection, then refine it in the pixel magnifier below. Arrow keys move one pixel; Shift + arrow moves ten.
The loupe shows frozen, browser-decoded sRGB RGB/RGBA8 values. In original mode, original RGB and rectangle protection preserve these values exactly. In library mode, selected colours are converted to library references and then fixed. Browser decoding may change stored file channels, especially with partial transparency; it does not guarantee identical numbers to the PNG file. The outlined centre is selected. Click a magnified pixel or use the arrows to refine your selection.
Create a preview to compare.
Drag any comparison panel to move all three views together. These views do not change pixels or export settings.
Hover or tap a comparison image to inspect one source pixel. Arrow keys move the selected pixel.
Markers, magnifiers and overlays are inspection aids only; exported image pixels are unchanged. Saved variants show their own reduction, cleanup and protection settings.
Use after the first reduction. Hover or tap a pixel in the current comparison and set each corner below, or enter source-pixel coordinates. Suggestions always come from the original source, never the distorted output. Save a variant first if you want to compare the previous palette.
Create a reduced preview first.
Both rectangle edges are included. Corrected visible pixels are fixed during cleanup under either scope; alpha stays unchanged. Recalculation can change unlocked colours elsewhere. Corrections must not overlap. Changing the library or mode, or loading another source, clears corrections. Original pixels and full-master assignments stay separate.
Palette locks always retain their references during reduction. For cleanup, choose whether their pixels everywhere are protected too, or only pixels explicitly selected through source-colour locks and rectangles. Exact original RGB entries always remain protected.
Simplifies small connected colour islands using existing palette colours. Selected pixel areas stay unchanged. The scope control determines whether protected palette colours are also protected everywhere. Alpha is preserved. Each application starts from the reduced preview, so cleanup does not accumulate.
Export up to 256 selected output entries. In original mode, exact originals are labelled separately from Atlas reference swatches. Clarus JSON chunks contain references only; use the full ZIP for original RGB evidence.
The ZIP retains the original image file byte-for-byte, separately from frozen, browser-decoded input pixels, Atlas assignments, reduced PNG and palette. In reduction.json, file_sha256 identifies the original file; input_rgba_sha256 identifies the frozen pixels. The manifest checksums cover the exported files. Keep it for handover. It is a reduction evidence package, not an editable Image Projects ZIP.
For flat-colour motifs, a small palette can help you and the printer discuss the design. This RGB-only pilot creates no separations, screens, halftones, underbase, trapping or ink recipes. The printer determines those production steps.
Transparency and partial opacity are preserved. Semi-transparent edges can produce additional apparent colours on fabric; no garment background is baked in. Dithering is off. The number shown counts visible RGB motif colours, not inks or screens.
For photographic DTF, DTG or sublimation work, use the full-colour original unless you deliberately want a reduced look or the printer requests it. The preview is not a fabric proof or production approval.
Open separate Mixing Atlas stored-recipe importer · Stored computational results only; no physical validation.
Keep complete source files, original RGB, fixed references and history together. Prepare an explicit working view for another tool and bring its edits back into the same package.
A working view can contain fewer editable fields than its source. The complete source stays in the exchange ZIP. PNG, ASE, GPL, CSS, tokens and recipes can be retained unchanged as attachments; that does not make them complete editable projects.
Starting …
Use Save complete exchange ZIP for the complete transfer. A native file downloaded separately contains only that document. No silent truncation, no silent rebinding; unsupported conversions fail explicitly. Checksums verify consistency, not authorship. Offline preview; no automatic sync.
