ATLAS CLARUS OFFLINE · LOCAL

OPEN COLOUR IDENTITY WORKFLOW

Find colour.
Understand colour.
Keep its identity.

A browser-ready edition of ATLAS Clarus Connect. No installation, server, account or network connection is required.

PKL FULL REFERENCEIdentity first. Production feasibility later. Device values third. Measured QC last.

PICK A PIXEL

Image Picker

RGB-ONLY IDENTITY BINDING · MASTER 8283ab91…747c4

Upload an image, choose a single pixel or a predefined square sample area, then click with the loupe. The observed 8-bit sRGB value is bound deterministically to the nearest ATLAS master reference. No Lab or ΔE is used for the primary assignment.

Your first palette · four steps
  1. Choose an image and click a pixel or a sample area.
  2. Open in Hover to inspect the reference. The Wheel is optional.
  3. Add to palette, then give your palette a name.
  4. Export Clarus JSON to keep a backup. Import it to restore the same references. Use ASE or GPL when taking swatches into a design app.

Continue to production: choose Prepare for print to carry the same references into two independent paths: 4C and ECG. Attach output profiles and export the handoff for local prepress.

Browser storage is local, not a backup. Clearing browser data or moving the HTML file may make saved palettes unavailable.

Active palette · documented identities

Create and manage several local palettes from the palette button. Exports preserve frozen reference identity and master provenance, not production approval.

MULTI-PROFILE PRODUCTION VIEW

One identity, several output contexts

MEASURED SAMPLE VALIDATION

Append QC without overwriting identity

NOT_MEASURED
No measurement is bound. The selected identity remains the immutable target.

PREPARATION · OUTPUT CALCULATION OPEN

Keep the handoff as a JSON file; this preparation is held in memory only. Attached ICC files (up to 16 MiB each) are embedded in the JSON. Reference device values, PDF/X output and physical measurement remain separate steps. The readable report is a preparation record, not a colour proof.

SIMULATION · NOT MEASURED QC

A local visual exploration layer. Material, finish, illumination and angle change the simulation — never the frozen reference identity.

How ATLAS Clarus connects to design applications

DOCUMENTATION · DESKTOP APPS NOT INCLUDED

Choose an application to see what ATLAS Clarus can already hand over, what has been verified, and what still needs practical testing. This page explains the connection; it does not run the desktop application inside the browser.

About this bundle

READY_PENDING_VISUAL_AUDIT

Identity baseline

13,283 master references. Zero-based atlas_row_id. Deterministic RGB-only reference binding. Workflow v3.4.0.

Local by design

This edition runs from index.html. It sends no analytics, user actions or colour selections anywhere.

Claim boundary

A displayed or simulated colour is not a physical measurement, production approval, print proof or certification.

HELP

Frequently asked questions

IDENTITY FIRST

What is ATLAS Clarus?

An open workflow for finding, understanding, collecting and handing over colour-reference identities without silently redefining their source.

How do I build a palette?

Choose a colour in Hover and select Add to palette. You can create, name, duplicate, sort, import and delete several local palettes. The active palette is shared by Hover and Wheel.

Which exports are included?

ASE for Adobe/Affinity, GPL for GIMP/Inkscape, Figma-compatible Tokens JSON, CSS custom properties and Clarus JSON with identity evidence.

Does an export preserve the identity?

Clarus JSON retains the full reference metadata. Other application formats carry usable names and exact master RGB, but their host applications may not retain every provenance field.

Is the displayed colour physically exact?

No. Screen colour depends on display, profile and viewing conditions. It is a reference representation, not a measured print, textile, coating or production approval.

Does the bundle track users?

No. It runs locally, sends no analytics or colour selections, and stores the shared palette only in this browser's local storage.

What does frozen A′ v0.4 mean?

The established selection and ranking logic is not changed by this browser edition. Interaction Wheel v0.5 adds descriptive diagnostics only.

Is this a Pantone library?

No. Observed source-context views are descriptive and claim no Pantone identity or equivalence. ATLAS references remain independently addressed.
