# 🏛️ Box64droid: A pioneer of x86_64 emulation on Android

Box64Droid is a first project (founded in May of 2023) with scripts that automate installing preconfigured rootfs with [Box64](https://github.com/ptitSeb/box64), [Box86](https://github.com/ptitSeb/box86), [Wine](https://github.com/Kron4ek/Wine-Builds), [DXVK](https://github.com/doitsujin/dxvk), [D8VK](https://github.com/AlpyneDreams/d8vk) on Android. Originally was a [fork](https://github.com/Ilya114/Box4Droid) of [Box4Droid](https://github.com/Herick75/Box4Droid) with Box64, it became the pioneer of 64-bit PC emulation for the ARM/Android community.

# 📜 Current status & Legacy

In second half of 2023 - 2024 much GUI add-ons to Box64 was released. I decided avoid joining the competition and gradually phased out active development up to end of 2024.

**Note:** You still can run Box64Droid (i guess for nostalgia), but all components are stuck at versions as of the end of 2024 and without guides. You also can join my Telegram [chat](https://t.me/x86_64_on_android) to speak about different topics. Thanks!
