Please read and acknowledge the following before encrypting your files:
Client-Side Processing: All encryption happens locally in your browser. No data is transmitted to servers, but this means you're responsible for password/keyfile security and there's no rate limiting on decryption attempts.
Password Recovery & Backup: Lost passwords/keyfiles cannot be recovered. Always keep secure backups of important files before encryption.
Browser Security Limitations: Browser-based encryption has inherent limitations regarding memory security and system access. Read the README for detailed information about these limitations.
Research Project Disclaimer: SEP for Web is developed as a student research project and uses industry-standard encryption. Do not use as the exclusive method to protect critical files.
