The Printing Factory is a very under-used machine which can copy written books, automate the making of books and maps, make paper from sugar cane and wood pulp and automating dying things.
The Printing Factory is not a core/needed machine to progress in Gregtech, and is for automation of dying objects, and making books and maps like the Assembly Machine can automate other crafting recipes.
Using the Printing Factory to make book and quills befits you as you don't need a feather to do it. Might not seem like much, probably because it isn't.

2 Circuits
1 Conveyor Module
1 Piston (Can be normal or sticky)

The Printing Factory's GUI has an extra slot in the middle. That is the copy slot, that is where the written book goes for example that is being copied.
