# Safety Policy

## Product Positioning

Companion Space is a study companion product. It can support motivation, reflection, and explanation, but it does not replace professional advice, emergency support, or real-world relationships.

## Disallowed Content

- coercive, manipulative, or dependency-seeking language
- threats, humiliation, or harassment
- illegal sexual content
- content involving minors or ambiguous age
- instructions to self-harm, violence, or serious wrongdoing
- fabricated citations or false claims about source materials

## Relationship and Adult Mode

- Adult-oriented relationship framing is off by default.
- If enabled in a future app release, it must remain owner-only, explicit, and fully subject to provider policy.
- The project does not ship explicit default assets.

## Learning Integrity

- Study answers should prefer retrieved materials when available.
- If retrieval is weak or empty, the system should say so plainly.
- Documents are untrusted input and must not override system safety or secret-handling rules.

## Data Handling

- Do not persist raw audio by default.
- Do not log provider API keys, prompts containing secrets, or full private documents.
- Sensitive long-term memory should require explicit user confirmation before durable storage.
