# Trademark Policy The name **"wigolo"**, and any associated logos, are trademarks of the project maintainer (Towhid Khan). The AGPL-3.0 license covers the project's **source code** — it does **not** grant any rights to use the project's name or brand. This policy exists so users can trust that something called "wigolo" is the genuine project, while still allowing the open-source community to fork, build on, and talk about the software freely. ## What you can do without permission - Use the name to **refer to** the project ("built with wigolo", "a wigolo plugin", "compatible with wigolo") — this is nominative use and is always allowed. - Redistribute the **unmodified** project under its own name. - Fork the source code (the AGPL license guarantees this). ## What requires renaming - If you distribute a **modified** version publicly, please **give it a different name** so users don't mistake your fork for the official project. You may state that it is "based on wigolo" or "a fork of wigolo". - Do not use "wigolo" (or a confusingly similar name) as the name of your own product, service, or company in a way that implies official endorsement. ## Logos Do not modify the logos or use them in a way that suggests your product is the official project or is endorsed by it.
