### 1. Data Collection and Usage
leXearch ("the Extension") is designed to respect your privacy. We do not collect, store, or share your personal information, browsing history, or passwords.

### 2. How We Use Your Data
The Extension only processes data when you explicitly interact with it (e.g., by selecting text and clicking the extension icon).
-   **Selected Text:** When you use the Extension, the text you select on a webpage is sent to our backend server and then to the Google Gemini API.
-   **Purpose:** This data is used solely to generate the explanation or answer you requested.
-   **No Storage:** We do not store your selected text or the AI-generated responses on our servers after the request is completed.

### 3. Third-Party Services
We use the **Google Gemini API** to generate responses. Please refer to Google's privacy policy for information on how they handle data.

### 4. User Settings
Any custom prompts you create are stored locally on your device (using Chrome Storage Sync) to synchronize them across your browsers. We do not have access to this data.

本拡張機能は、ユーザーが明示的に操作（テキストを選択してアイコンをクリックするなど）した場合にのみデータを処理します。
-   **選択されたテキスト:** ユーザーがテキストを選択して機能を実行すると、そのテキストは当社のバックエンドサーバーを経由してGoogle Gemini APIに送信されます。
