# Landscape Metrics (LSMetrics)


This repository hosts the development and distribution of **LSMetrics**, a software package designed to calculate ecologically based landscape metrics, generate landscape connectivity maps, and prepare input for BioDIM, an individual-based model of animal movement in fragmented landscapes.  

LSMetrics now runs **perfectly in GRASS GIS 7.8**, fully supporting raster input and producing accurate, reproducible metrics. All **four diversity indices**—Shannon, Simpson, Pielou, and Rényi—are fully implemented and working. The software has undergone a **complete revision on 2025-09-18** to ensure stability and usability.
