Monster Remote is an unofficial companion app and Alexa skill for controlling supported Gym Monster machines. Monster Remote is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Speediance.

This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected, how it is used, and how it is protected.

## Information We Collect

Monster Remote may collect and process the following information:

- Device identifiers required to connect your app with the Alexa skill, such as push notification tokens.
- A temporary linking code when you connect the Monster Remote app with Alexa.
- Your Alexa user identifier, only for linking your Alexa account to your Monster Remote app.
- Machine-related identifiers, such as a machine serial number, when needed to manage trial access or app functionality.
- Basic app metadata, such as app version, platform, first seen date, last seen date, and trial status.
- Diagnostic logs generated by the app, if you choose to share them for support.

Monster Remote does not intentionally collect sensitive personal information such as health data, payment card data, precise location, contacts, photos, or microphone recordings.

## How We Use Information

We use the collected information to:

- Link your Alexa account with your Monster Remote app.
- Send voice command requests from Alexa to your app.
- Manage trial access and premium unlock status.
- Improve reliability and troubleshoot issues.
- Prevent abuse of trial or linking systems.

## Alexa Skill Usage

When you use the Monster Remote Alexa skill, Alexa sends the requested command to our backend service. The backend then sends a silent push notification to your linked Monster Remote app.

The command may include basic command data, such as:

- Weight on
- Weight off
- Increase weight
- Decrease weight
- Command amount, if applicable

Voice recordings and Alexa speech processing are handled by Amazon according to Amazon's own privacy policies. Monster Remote does not receive your raw voice recording.

## Data Storage

Monster Remote stores linking and trial-related data using cloud services. This may include:

- Alexa user identifier
- Push notification token
- Temporary linking code
- Machine serial number or trial identifier
- Trial status and timestamps

Temporary linking codes expire automatically after a short period.

## Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share limited data only with service providers required to operate the app and skill, such as cloud hosting, push notification delivery, or analytics/logging infrastructure.

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the security and integrity of the service.

## Data Retention

We keep data only as long as needed to provide the service, maintain account linking, manage trial access, troubleshoot issues, or comply with legal obligations.

Temporary linking codes are retained only briefly.

You may request deletion of your linked data by contacting us.

## Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect stored data. However, no internet-connected service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

## Children's Privacy

Monster Remote is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

## Third-Party Services

Monster Remote may interact with services provided by Apple, Amazon Alexa, and cloud infrastructure providers. Your use of those services is also subject to their respective privacy policies.
