# Trademark & Attribution Notice ## Relationship to OpenUsage AIUsage.NET is an independent Windows port that follows the architecture and behavior of [OpenUsage](https://github.com/robinebers/openusage) (macOS, Swift), created by Robin Ebers. The source code of both projects is MIT-licensed, so porting the design is permitted, but the two projects are separate: - AIUsage.NET is **not** a fork, rebrand, or official edition of OpenUsage. - AIUsage.NET is **not** endorsed by, affiliated with, or maintained by Robin Ebers or the OpenUsage project. - The "OpenUsage" name and logo remain the property of Robin Ebers under OpenUsage's own trademark policy; AIUsage.NET does not use that name or logo anywhere in its branding, executables, or packaging. See `PORTING_NOTES.md` for a detailed, ongoing account of exactly what was ported, adapted for Windows, or intentionally left out. ## The AIUsage.NET Brand The "AIUsage" / "AIUsage.NET" name and any associated logo are used to identify this project. ## Forks of AIUsage.NET If you fork AIUsage.NET, you must: 1. Choose a different name for your fork 2. Remove any AIUsage.NET-specific branding 3. Clearly state that your project is a fork and not the official AIUsage.NET ## Questions Open an issue on the [AIUsage.NET repository](https://github.com/LuigiElleBalotta/AIUsage.NET) if you are unsure whether a particular use is allowed.
