**Snakes of Costa Rica**

Mayan Apps built the Snakes of Costa Rica app as an entertainment and educational tool. This page informs visitors of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information.

**Information We Collect**

- Location data (latitude and longitude) – used only to automatically detect the province when you create a snake sighting. You can also enter location manually.
- Sighting notes and photos you add (stored on your device and optionally synced to your account if you sign in).
- Anonymous usage data for crash reporting and improvement (no personal identifiers).

We do not collect or share any data for advertising purposes.

**Data Sharing**

Your sightings are stored privately. Only you can see them unless you choose to share a sighting card.

**Third-party Services**

- Firebase (Google) – used for optional account sync and anonymous sign-in.
- Google Maps / location services – for province detection.

**Your Rights**

You can delete all your sightings from the app at any time. You can also request deletion of any cloud data by emailing us.
