Custom Background Images: If you choose to use a custom background image from your gallery, the app accesses this image locally on your device to generate the wallpaper. This image is never uploaded to any external server or shared with us.

B. Device and Usage Data

App Settings: Your preferences (language, font size, color, etc.) are stored locally on your device using Android Shared Preferences.

Cached Data: Daily text content is cached locally on your device to ensure the widget functions offline.

2. Third-Party Services and Data Access

To provide its core functionality, this app connects directly to the following third-party services. These services are not owned or controlled by us.

jw.org (Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society of Pennsylvania):

Purpose: The app retrieves the "Daily Text" content directly from wol.jw.org based on your selected language.

Data Shared: Your IP address and user agent string are visible to jw.org as part of standard web traffic when the app fetches the text.

Bing (Microsoft):

Purpose: If you select the "Bing" background option, the app retrieves the daily image from Bing servers (via bing.img.run proxy).

Data Shared: Your IP address is visible to the service provider when fetching the image.

Ko-fi:

Purpose: The app contains a link to Ko-fi for voluntary user support.

Data Shared: If you click the link, you will be redirected to the Ko-fi website. No app data is sent to Ko-fi automatically.

3. Android Permissions

The app requests the following permissions to function:

INTERNET: Required to fetch the daily text and Bing wallpapers.

SET_WALLPAPER: Required to apply the generated image as your system or lock screen wallpaper.

ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Required to check if an internet connection is available before attempting to update.

READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE / READ_MEDIA_IMAGES: Required only if you choose to select a custom background image from your device's gallery.

RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED: Required to reschedule the daily automatic update after your device restarts.

Our services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. Since the app does not collect personal data, we do not hold any data regarding children.
