# Evidence and Claim Status

The repository uses the following controlled meanings:

constructive: the repository sample demonstrates that the mapping can be built
confirmed correspondence: fixed-revision source evidence satisfies the participant relation
candidate correspondence: partial source evidence exists but a participant or behavior is unverified
unsupported: available evidence contradicts or fails the source pattern contract
not observable: the required relation cannot be evaluated from available artifacts

These statuses are descriptive, not a score. They classify the evidence for a named claim, relation, unit, and revision; they do not rank patterns, implementations, projects, or lifecycle maturity.

Constructive evidence and ecosystem correspondence answer different questions. A constructive sample establishes constructibility but not frequency, superiority, or real-world adoption. Confirmed correspondence requires frozen source evidence for the relevant participant relation. Candidate correspondence records partial evidence without upgrading an unresolved mapping. Unsupported records contradiction or contract failure. Not observable records an evidentiary limit and is not a negative finding.

Status must be assigned at the narrowest claim supported by the cited paths. Evidence for one participant relation does not automatically confirm the complete transfer, and evidence from one Agent Host does not establish behavior in another.
