# Privacy Policy for Where Am I? City Riddles Last updated: October 9, 2026 Thanks for playing Where Am I? City Riddles (the "App"), made by Pastelpix ("we", "us", "our"). This policy explains what information the App uses, why, and what choices you have. ## The short version - You do not need an account. We never ask for your name, email address, phone number, or exact location. - We do not run our own servers and we do not keep a database of players. - Your game progress stays on your device. - The App shows ads provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect some device information to show and measure ads. You can control this. - Scores can be posted to Apple Game Center if you are signed in. ## Information stored on your device The App saves a few small things locally on your device so the game works properly: - Your best score - How many times you have opened the App (used only to decide when to politely ask for an App Store rating) - Whether you have purchased Remove Ads This information is not sent to us. It is deleted when you delete the App. ## Game Center The App connects to Apple Game Center. If you are signed in to Game Center, your score is sent to the leaderboard, and your Game Center nickname and avatar may be shown to other players on that leaderboard. This is handled by Apple, and we do not receive your Apple Account details. If you do not want this, sign out of Game Center in your device Settings. Apple's privacy policy applies: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/ ## Ads (Google AdMob) The App shows full-screen ads between rounds using Google AdMob, a service provided by Google. To show and measure ads, AdMob and its partners may collect and use information such as: - Your device's advertising identifier (only if you allow tracking) - Your IP address and the approximate location it reveals - Device and app information such as device model, operating system, and language - Information about the ads you see and how you interact with them - Diagnostic and performance data, such as crash logs and app performance Google uses this information to deliver ads, which may be personalized if you allow it, and to measure and improve ad performance. Google may process this information on servers outside your country. To learn how Google uses data from apps that use its services, see https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and the Google Privacy Policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy. We do not receive this data about you, and we do not sell your personal information. ## Your ad and tracking choices - Tracking permission: on iOS, the App asks whether you allow it to track you across apps and websites owned by other companies. You can say no, and the App works just the same. You can change your answer anytime in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. - Consent form: if you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another region that requires it, the App shows a consent form before ads are requested. You can change your choices anytime with the Privacy Settings button on the start screen. - Remove Ads: you can stop all ads with the one-time Remove Ads purchase. After that, the App does not request or show ads. ## In-app purchases Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your payment details. The App only checks with Apple whether your Apple Account owns the Remove Ads purchase, so it can turn off ads and let you restore the purchase on a new device. ## Maps The game map is provided by Apple Maps. When the map loads, Apple may receive information such as your IP address and the map area you are viewing, as described in Apple's privacy policy. The App does not ask for, access, or store your location. The pin you drop is only a guess in the game and is not saved. ## Sharing your score If you choose to share your score, the App opens the standard iOS share sheet with a short message. What happens next depends on the app you choose to share with. We do not receive any information from this. ## Children's privacy The App is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under the minimum age in your country). If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us and we will help. ## Data retention and deletion We do not hold personal data about you. Game data on your device is removed when you delete the App. Game Center data is managed by Apple, and ad-related data is managed by Google under their own policies and controls. ## Your rights Depending on where you live (for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or California), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal data, and to object to or opt out of certain uses such as personalized advertising. Because we do not keep personal data about you, most requests are best directed to Google (for ad data) or Apple (for Game Center, App Store, and Maps data). You are also welcome to contact us and we will point you in the right direction. ## Changes to this policy We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above. Please check back occasionally. ## Contact us If you have any questions, feel free to contact us.
