# Revelations: Persona Recompiled An unofficial, noncommercial PSXRecomp compatibility project for **Revelations: Persona** (USA, `SLUS-00339`). Public releases are deliberately **owned-input build kits**, not playable executables. They contain no game disc data, retail PlayStation BIOS, generated game code, generated retail-BIOS code, or prebuilt title executable. You supply your own matching disc dump and generate the executable locally. ## Supported target - Windows 10 or 11, x86-64, Intel or AMD processor - Revelations: Persona (USA), `SLUS-00339` - Redump-style CUE/BIN with one MODE2/2352 data track - OpenBIOS by default ## Using a release kit 1. Extract the Windows x86-64 setup ZIP to a writable directory outside `Program Files`. 2. Run `Revelations__Persona_Recompiled.exe`. 3. Select your legally obtained `Persona (USA).cue` when prompted. 4. Choose Generate and Rebuild. The game code is generated and compiled only on your computer. 5. Start the locally built game from the launcher. The first build needs Python 3 and either a compatible CMake/Ninja toolchain or the pinned toolchain downloaded by the setup wizard. Locally built executables are unsigned and may trigger a Windows SmartScreen warning. ## Controls - Modern SDL-compatible controller: selected automatically for Player 1; both the D-pad and left stick drive the original digital PlayStation controls. - Keyboard: WASD movement, J/K for Cross/Circle, U/I for Square/Triangle, Q/E for L1/R1, 1/3 for L2/R2, Enter for Start, and Right Shift for Select. - Arrow keys and X/C/Z/V remain alternate direction and face-button bindings. ## Building from the repository Clone with submodules: ```bash git clone --recurse-submodules cd RevPRecompile ``` Build the emitters, generate from your own disc, and build the runtime: ```bash ./psxrecomp/tools/ci/build_emitters.sh python3 psxrecomp/psxrecomp_cli.py generate \ --config game.toml --project-root . --disc "path/to/Persona (USA).cue" cmake -S . -B build-release -G Ninja -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Release cmake --build build-release --target psx-runtime ``` Never commit `disc/`, `generated/`, retail BIOS files, memory cards, captures, or Ghidra projects. See [PUBLIC_RELEASE_POLICY.md](PUBLIC_RELEASE_POLICY.md) and [COMPATIBILITY.md](COMPATIBILITY.md). ## Status OpenBIOS startup, the opening sequence, the title screen, TCP diagnostics, digital controller routing, and the packaged keyboard configuration have been verified. This is not an end-to-end game-completion claim. ## Licensing and trademarks The independently written project and framework components are distributed under their respective licenses. OpenBIOS retains its included license notice. Game names and trademarks identify compatibility only. This project is not affiliated with or endorsed by Sony Interactive Entertainment, Atlus, or the original developers and publishers.
