# Privacy Policy — Vigo Vault

**Vigo Vault** is a Bluetooth utility app for connecting to and controlling a compatible physical padlock. It does **not** track workouts, read health data, or connect to fitness platforms.

## Information we collect

### Stored on your device
- Saved lock names and device identifiers
- Lock preferences (order, primary lock)
- Last-known battery level and connection details
- App settings

This data stays on your phone (for example, in local storage) until you clear app data or uninstall the app.

### Bluetooth
To operate your lock, the app uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and may process:
- Device identifiers and broadcast names
- Signal strength (RSSI)
- Messages sent to and received from the lock

Bluetooth is used only to control your padlock—not for advertising or location tracking.

### Optional diagnostics
If enabled, we may collect crash reports and basic device/app information (for example, via Firebase Crashlytics) to improve stability. We do not sell this data.

### Support messages
If you email us, we receive the information you send so we can respond.

## Information we do not collect

Vigo Vault does **not**:
- Access Health Connect, steps, heart rate, or other health/fitness data
- Track your location for profiling
- Require an account for basic lock control

## Permissions

The app may request:
- **Bluetooth** — discover and connect to your padlock
- **Internet** — optional crash reporting
- **Notifications** — optional alerts (for example, low battery)

You can revoke permissions in device settings; some features may stop working.

## How we use information

We use information only to:
- Connect to and control your padlock
- Save preferences on your device
- Show lock status (connection, battery)
- Fix crashes and improve reliability
- Respond to support requests
- Comply with law

We do **not** sell your personal information.

## Sharing

We do not share locally stored lock settings for marketing. Limited data may be processed by service providers such as **Google Firebase Crashlytics** ([Firebase Privacy](https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy)). We may disclose information if required by law.

## Retention & security

On-device data remains until you delete it or uninstall the app. We use reasonable measures to protect information, but no method is completely secure.

## Children's privacy

The app is not directed to children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information.

## Your choices

You can clear app data or uninstall at any time. For privacy requests, contact us at **fitnesssnacklock@gmail.com**.

## Changes

We may update this policy. The date above shows the latest version. Continued use of the app means you accept the updated policy.
