# GlyphCompress Commercial Licensing Notice

GlyphCompress is offered under a dual-license model:

1. **Open-source license**: AGPL-3.0-only, as provided in `LICENSE`.
2. **Commercial license**: available only through a separate written agreement signed or otherwise expressly approved by the copyright holder.

This file is an offer to discuss commercial licensing. It is not itself a commercial license grant. No commercial, proprietary, private redistribution, OEM, SaaS, marketplace, embedded, or hosted-use rights are granted unless a separate written commercial agreement is completed.

## When a Commercial License Is Required

You should contact the copyright holder before using GlyphCompress in any context where you do not want the AGPL-3.0-only obligations to apply, including:

- Closed-source products, extensions, SDKs, CLIs, developer tools, or IDE integrations.
- Internal enterprise platforms, private developer portals, hosted services, or SaaS offerings.
- Redistribution to customers, contractors, affiliates, or marketplace users under proprietary terms.
- Modifications, forks, wrappers, or derived products that are not released under AGPL-3.0-only.
- Bundling GlyphCompress with paid products, paid support, managed services, or proprietary AI tooling.

## Rights Reserved

Except for rights expressly granted under AGPL-3.0-only or a separate commercial agreement, all rights are reserved. This includes rights in the GlyphCompress name, logo, documentation, protocol descriptions, compression dictionaries, source maps, benchmarks, generated codebooks, extension packaging, and commercial distribution channels.

No trademark, service mark, trade dress, endorsement, certification, or branding rights are granted by the open-source license or by this notice.

## Commercial Agreement Topics

Commercial licenses are negotiated case by case and may cover:

- Proprietary integration and private redistribution.
- SaaS, hosted, embedded, OEM, or marketplace usage.
- Enterprise deployment, audit, compliance, and indemnity requirements.
- Support, maintenance, private fixes, and custom roadmap work.
- Seat, repository, server, product, revenue, or usage-based pricing.
